COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Internet of Things (IoT) course focuses on the principles, technologies, and applications of interconnected devices and systems. The course explores how everyday objects can be embedded with sensors, actuators, and network connectivity to enable data exchange and automation. Students will learn about the underlying technologies and protocols used in IoT, as well as the design and development of IoT solutions.

Throughout the course, students will study various aspects of IoT, including sensor integration, data collection and analysis, wireless communication, cloud computing, and security. They will gain hands-on experience with IoT platforms and tools, allowing them to design and implement practical IoT projects. Additionally, the course may cover topics such as IoT architectures, data privacy, and ethical considerations related to IoT deployments.

  6. Demonstrate proficiency in IoT development platforms and tools, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other hardware platforms.
  7. Analyze and interpret data collected from IoT devices, applying data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights.
  8. Understand the principles of cloud computing and utilize cloud platforms for storage, processing, and analytics of IoT data.
  9. Apply security measures and protocols to ensure the privacy, integrity, and confidentiality of IoT data and devices.
  10. Design and develop IoT applications and prototypes, integrating sensors, actuators, and data processing components.
