Rise and Spread of Islam account for the emergence of a new faith that spread across many continents and affected many places’ politics, life, and culture.

In this unit, the topics that are discussed are:-

• Birth of Prophet Mohammad

• Early life teachings 

• Five basic principles of Islam

• Spread of Islam

The Delhi Sultanate

The Delhi Sultanate deals with the times of the Sultans of Delhi. It discusses how Delhi emerged as a seat of power and will help understand how the past has shaped the present.

In this unit, the topics that are discussed are:-

• The rule of the five dynasties of Delhi Sultanate

• Important Ruler and their significance

The Fourth unit, The Mughal Empire, encompasses topics that will enable the students to understand how the Mughal Empire emerged and why it became the essential Empire of the Later Period of the Medieval Period. It also discusses the Mughal Art and Architecture.
