 Geographical Features and their Representation

This chapter covers how to use colours on Topographical sheets and how to use types of scale for different measurements. It also covers the conventional symbols and signs based on the topographical sheets of India’s survey. Additionally, the chapter also has the method of measuring distance on a map using scales. 

Atmosphere

A concise introduction and a basic idea about the composition and structure of the atmosphere is provided in this chapter. The causes of phenomena such as the Green House Effect, Global Warming and methods to reduce global warming effects are also given.

 Weather and Climate

This chapter consists of all the essential weather elements like Atmospheric Pressure, different types of Clouds, Humidity, Precipitation and Temperature. It also includes the difference between Weather and Climate. The chapter also contains how and why weather instruments are used like the Anemometer, Barometer, Hygrometer, Rain Gauge, and Thermometer. 

 Soil Formation and Weathering

Key concepts like types of rocks, the definition of weathering, and the factors that affect weathering are covered in this chapter. The different types of weathering that are there and soil formation and the importance of soil conservation are also provided.

 Industries & Energy and Power Resources

A brief introduction of industries and why the industries are important for the world is mentioned in the former chapter. Significant industries and factors regarding the establishment of industries are also covered followed by the latter chapter which covers an introduction to renewable and renewable resources of energy. The second chapter here also covers the importance of conservation of power resources and energy. 

 Study of Specific Continents

Study of the continents of Africa, Antarctica, Australia, and Europe is highlighted in this chapter. An introduction and case studies related to these continents are also mentioned in this chapter.
