The full form of CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET is conducted to recruit candidates for teaching profiles all across the country by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India. The Government of India introduced the CTET Exam to improve or bring new standards in teaching. CTET 2021 exam is based on the National Curriculum Framework. All graduates are eligible to apply for CTET 2021 exam on the official website www.ctet.nic.in

CTET 2021 is a National Level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CTET Exam 2021 is conducted to recruit candidates for teaching profiles all across the country for Primary classes (1-5) and Elementary or Secondary classes (6-8).Certificate in Elementary Teacher Education (CETE) is a certification course, which is completely different from CTET. Kindly differentiate between the two.

CTET 2021 Exam Date

CTET 2021 Exam online application form will be available only on the CBSE CTET official website. The dates have been updated here as per the official dates for CTET 2021-2022 session are announced.

Time Schedule of CTET 2021 Exam

The schedule of the CTET 2021 exam will be updated soon once the official dates are out. The CTET Time Schedule comprises the date of the exam, the entry in the exam hall, checking of admit card, distribution of test booklets, the seal of test booklet to be opened, last entry in exam centres, etc. Candidates can check the schedule once it is out.

CTET 2021 Eligibility

The official notification will contain details related to CTET 2021 eligibility for each post. Candidates need to make sure that they satisfy the educational requirement and the age limit criteria of the relevant post before applying for the exam. Educational Qualification for CTET 2021 Primary Teacher (Classes I to V) - Paper 1

• Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education [D.El.Ed].(or)

• Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002. (or)

• Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who is passed or is appearing for the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. (or)

• Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who have passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed).

Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2021 Elementary Teacher (Classes VI to VIII) - Paper 2

• Candidates passing Graduation or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (or)

• Candidates passing Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (or)

• Candidates passing Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed, per the NCTE Regulations. (or)

• Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. (or)

• Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. (or)

• Candidates completing Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET 2021 Age Limit

As per the official notification, the age of the aspiring candidates should not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years. The candidature of the candidates who don't satisfy the CTET 2021 eligibility criteria will be cancelled.

CTET 2021 Exam Pattern

CTET 2021 exam will be conducted in offline mode. CTET 2021 exam pattern will have two phases, Paper-1 and Paper 2. Paper-1 aims at testing the proficiency of the candidates in languages, knowledge of the psychology related to learning and teaching along with other core subjects. Paper-II will also have similar sections aimed at testing the skills of the candidates. Candidates can choose two languages out of the 5 available options. Candidates can choose to appear for either paper-1, paper-2, or both. Candidates who qualify in the written exam of the CTET 2021 exam will be called for the Interview process.

For Classes I to V (Primary Stage)

CTET 2021 Paper for the primary stage will be having Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The first section "Child Development and Pedagogy" will be based on the educational psychology of teaching and learning of children of 6 to 11 years.The Language-I section will focus on proficiency in the language of imparting instructions. Language-II will be related to language, communication skills, and comprehension abilities. Language I and Language II, both will be different. You will need to opt for languages from a set of available languages.

For Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage)

CTET 2021 year Paper for Elementary stage will also have MCQ type of questions. Teachers would be asked from subjects of Maths & Science or Social Studies according to their field of specialization

CTET 2021 Application Form

Follow the below given step-by-step procedure for CTET 2021 form fill up and applying.

• Step 1: Firstly, you have to log on to the official website of CTET i.e. www.ctet.nic.in

• Step 2: Further, you need to find the “Apply Online” link and open the same.

• Step 3: Upon landing on the next page, you have to fill up the online application form. After its completion, please note down your Registration No./Application No. for future use.

• Step 4: After filling the form, you will need to upload scanned images of your recent Photograph and Signature. Please keep in mind that your signature should not be smudged.

• Step 5: The last step for the submission of your application is to pay the exam fee via e-challan (Offline mode) or debit/credit card (Online mode).

• Step 6: For your future reference, it is advised to take a print out of your application form.

CTET 2021 Application Form is available on the official website www.ctet.nic.in. CTET Application Fee can be paid through both online and offline modes.

Directions for Scanned Uploads

• Uploading of scanned photograph and full signatures are compulsory for any applicant.

• Files to be upload should be in JPG/JPEG format.

• The file size of both the uploads should be from 10 to 100 KB.

• The dimensions of your photograph should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.

• The scanned image size of the signature should be between 3 to 30 KB.

• Dimensions of your signature image should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.

CTET 2021 Admit Card

CTET 2021 admit card will be available on the official website. It will be released by the conducting authority 15 days before the date of the examination. To download CTET 2021 admit card candidates have to give their application number, date of birth as a password, and security pin provided at the time of registration to login to the official website. The admit card contains details regarding the candidate's name, exam centre, location, and CTET exam date 2021. Candidates need to carry the admit card to the examination hall on the day of the exam. Candidates who do not have a valid admit card will not be allowed to attend the examination.

Documents to carry with the CTET Admit Card

Certain documents like valid photo identity proof and its photocopy, two recent passport size photographs and admit card are required at the exam centre. The photograph must match the photo uploaded during the application process. These documents will be verified by the invigilator at the exam centre after which candidates will be allowed entry into the exam hall.
